Your New HOA Board of Directors, 1 Opening and 2011-2012 Meeting Times
At the annual meeting on October 27th, the Board of Directors of the High Meadow Homeowners Association was set for the upcoming term. Scott Kosak (President), Chuck Kern (Vice President) and Jane Barnabo (Secretary) will fill out the 2nd year of their 2 year terms, though in different roles, and Melissa Roberts New was elected to a new 2-year term and will return as Treasurer. As part of the normal course of business in the meeting, the following Thursday meeting dates were set for the next 12 months: December 8th, 2011 as well as the following dates in 2012: January 26th, February 23rd, March 22nd, April 26th, May 24th, June 28th, July 26th, August 23rd, September 27th and October 25th.
As can be seen, the board currently has only 4 members with a desired total number of directors of 5. Toward that end, we are accepting applications of interest for anyone who might be interested in being appointed to the 5th position. If you are interested, please CLICK HERE to send us a contact form and we'll be in touch with you! Based on the number of interested parties, the board anticipates appointing the 5th board member before our next meeting on December 8th, 2011.
As a board member, you're ultimately a part of the process that keeps High Meadow functioning as a Home Owners Association. Although we are mandated by our covenants to enforce the rules, the larger responsibilities of the board focus around fulfilling various responsibilities that keep the community financially stable while overseeing the maintenance of common areas of the community, including the fence, the entry ways and the property along Rte 59 and 111th St. The time requirement is minimal (about 3 to 5 hours per month) and you can take pride in knowing that you are helping to maintain the look and feel of High Meadow as the great community of homes and homeowners that it is.
